Escape from Planet Eurydice!
Made in 48 hours for GMTK Jam 2022, with the theme "Roll The Dice".
A dice-rolling game about leading your crew to escape from an unfolding disaster!
Your crew is represented by dice, which are rolled each turn. Most die faces will do something useful, like generating data or unlocking doors with keycards. But if you roll a skull, that die will be permanently lost!
Make use of rerolls, movement bonuses, and extra dice that you find throughout your escape in order to survive for 100 rooms and make it to the escape shuttle.
HOW TO PLAY:
Each turn, you will roll your dice which appear in the middle of the screen. On the right are panels that have various rewards - usually more dice, but sometimes rerolls or movement bonuses as well. Drag your dice onto the matching slots of these panels to unlock them. (Some panels cost Data to unlock instead, which can be generated by rolling your dice).
All panels will be replaced with new ones when you end your turn. If you want to keep any for later, press the Carry button on the top-right. Careful - carrying too many things makes your dice more likely to roll skulls!
Speaking of, any dice that show skulls at the end of the turn will be destroyed. You can drag dice to the Reroll slot on the left of the screen to reroll them; rerolling a skull costs 1 charge, but rerolling any other die gives +0.5 charge.
Whenever a die is destroyed, Terror increases. When Terror maxes out, ALL of your current dice gain an extra Skull face at random, so watch out! (Note: there may be a visual bug where this causes the wrong face to display on some dice, making them not behave as expected; it sorts itself out once you reroll or end turn usually. Sorry for the inconvenience!)
When you end your turn, you move 1 room forward by default - plus all movement bonuses on your dice and unlocked panels. (Tip: You can Carry panels that give a movement bonus to get that bonus every turn!). Make it through 100 rooms before running out of dice to win!
You can mouse over anything in the game to get a tooltip explaining it.

So, if you take more dice than your maximum, they're useless?
Yep! If you want any new dice you have to let existing ones get destroyed first.
